I’m a Miami native, born to an economist father and into a very political family. Some of my earliest memories include the family getting together, arguing about foreign policy, taxes and laws. My father would routinely wake me with an article about human rights or political satire or, the popular choice, economic policy. To my family’s disappointment, I didn’t pursue a career in law, or politics or even economics, but instead followed my one true passion, writing. My mantra everyday is, I am a writer. I love all things practical and creative. I consider myself a logical, rational and compassionate person (yes, I think you can be all three) with a sense of humor. I love to debate and welcome any challenge to my point of view. I believe firmly that our actions must be deeply rooted in reason.

I’d like to add that I hate to classify myself in any political party really. For me it’s like picking your wardrobe based on the music you listen to (I like rock and country by the way : ) ).  I seem to be somewhat of a conservative libertarians, if that makes any sense. I have been influenced by, and admire, Ronald Reagan, Ayn Rand, Margaret Thatcher and Mark Steyn, and not in that order necessarily.
