I was checking the Twitter when I read a tweet from Arutz Sheva, the Israeli media outlet I subscribe to on the networking site. The headline read: “Worldwide Rallies Support, Praise Israel’s War on Gaza Terrorism.”

"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." - Nietzsche
The article attached to it went on to discuss how thousands of people are marching in cities across the world in pro-Israeli support.
«In a show of patriotism, identity, solidarity and concern stemming from the raging global jihad, thousands of pro-Israel supporters from all walks of life are participating in vigils and rallies for Israel all over the world as the Jewish State continues its war against Hamas.»
I am a supporter of Israel, but it’s still incredible to notice the spread of blatant propaganda in another country. I do agree there are plenty of pro-Israeli demonstrations going on (there always are) but this particular military offensive has received some pretty gnarly criticism from the usual wackos to the more temperate moderates.
For example, the Associated Press reports that Iran claims 70,000 young adults want to join the suicide bomber brigade. Not too surprising, coming from the nation who’s very President is a holocaust denier, but still troubling.
A newspaper from the United Arab Emirites, a more moderate nation when it comes to Israel, has a column with the heading “Zionists are the new Nazis.” Aside from also stating the holocaust was staged as part of an elaborate scheme by Jews for sympathy (he’s nucking futs, this guy), the author also says:
«The barbaric bombing and the killing of hundreds of civilians in Gaza is evidence of the fascist and inhumane traits of the Zionists. The charred and bloodied bodies of innocent children, women, and civilians in houses and streets, are testimonies to the Nazi character of the Zionists, whom they claim to have fought in the past.»
Another paper from Russia called Pravda, makes similar claims in their article “The Star of David has become the Swastika.“ The article claims the Israelis are using weapons that are banned by Geneva Convention. They also add an alarming insult:
«… it seems that the lessons of the concentration camps have perfected the brutal character of Zionism. »
Of course, none of those three nations are traditionally pro-Israel or pro-West. But when I watch the news, there is constant footage of burning Israeli flags in all parts of the globe. Even in places I wouldn’t expect. MSNBC also has graphic images of civilian casualties on their front page showing children bleeding from their fractured skulls, women crawling out of rubble with half their limbs blasted from their bodies, and the corpses of the dead being paraded down streets filled with mourners.
Hamas militants are cowards who hide among their own civilians and bring this devastation upon them because of their hate and their actions. I remember reading about rockets hitting apartments in Israel during the early morning hours about a week before the small-but-mighty nation struck back.
The Palestinians are poor and powerless. They turned to Hamas for protection and instead brought the wrath of Israel to their doorstep.
I understand why the Israelis do what they have done. We did the same when we supported wars we didn’t understand simply because we needed someone to pay for what we’d suffered. Self preservation is a primal drive in our fragile, inferior bodies.
Innocent Palestinians are constantly made to pay in the tug of war between Israel and it’s countless enemies. They themselves are used as propaganda. Those who die because Israel did what it had to do to protect itself will forever become reasons for the need of everlasting jihad.
The peace that seemed so palpable at times between the two countries has been destroyed beyond measure. It will never exist as long as Israel exists. And when the bombing is done and the Israelis have satisfied their thirst for vengeance, others will quench themselves by trying to annihilate them.
So goes the hate between people who will never understand each other because they fail to look past their own propaganda.

Below is a moving report from Al Jazeera English depicting the suffering of the Palestinians.
(UPDATE: I heard on MSNBC that a UN school in Palestine was hit by Israeli fire. Three people were killed. I wonder if it was the same school as the report above?)
Palestinians do not suffer alone. Below is footage of missile attacks in Israel from Hamas terrorists.
And here’s footage of the bulldozer attack in Israel.
