Blagojevich Refuses To Resign

Despite being caught on tape making illegal deals, disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich refuses to resign. Instead, he blamed “a political lynch mob” of spreading false accusations about him at a press conference today.

He’s going to try to pull a David Vitter and hold on to a post he doesn’t deserve.
Before this even happened, Blagovich had the lowest approval rating of any governor in the country, according to the polling firm Rasmussen Reports. Another report by Rasmussen showed that 84% of Illinois voters think he should resign and another 79% think jail time is appropriate.
If the majority of his constituents feel this way, why does he get to decide if he keeps his job or not? Why don’t we have better laws in place to oust these people when it’s time for them to go?
