We have the freedom to protest our government as long as the men clad in black holding billy clubs don’t beat us up.
Pretty soon we will be able to be arrested for simply thinking about protesting.
For those of you who have never actually been to a real protest, I think you should make it a point to do so. I’ve been to two WTO meetings, and the protesters that I encountered were not even sure why they were there. On both occaisions, it was simply a social event for these people, as they couldn’t agree on what it was they were protesting. The only thing I felt they had in common was mental illness. Having said that, I enjoy that fact they have the right to do so! I just wish they wouldn’t waste it so.

A great idea for better-staged protests are flash-protests: Individuals are aware of a specific time and a place to meet and have protests but not as a group. Thus, individuals can arrive at their specific destination without having to meet such direct opposition. Usually, this is mutually agreed upon via a web-medium or via text-messaging in advance.
I suggest that everyone dresses up like Boss Hog and red ties, then breaks out their bandanas and microphones.
