VoteVets.org Creates a Petition to Back Clark

General Wesley Clark has taken the step at being the first person to criticize Senator John McCain’s military service.
He’s gotten some flack for it, but the people over at Votevets.org have created a petition to let him know he is supported by others, including servicemen and women.
The petition currently has over 9,000 signatures. I signed it. If you want to sign it, click HERE.
UPDATE: Obama doesn’t agree this is the way to go. I appreciate him going for the high road and expect him to do so, but I think if a candidate is running on his “military experience” in lieu of executive experience, it’s valid to examine his record and ask what he has done besides be a POW. What were his grades in flight school? What were his duties? What were his responsibilities?
Obama’s take is HERE but I respectfully disagree. They swiftboated Kerry and I think it’s ok to be critical of McCain.
UPDATE II: My favorite blogger disagrees with me too. I’ll concede the point that Clark wasn’t politically savvy with his choice of words, but he wasn’t wrong for speaking the truth. Read what Andrew Sullivan has to say HERE.

And what executive experience does Obama carry? There is also a difference between the criticism that John Kerry received and that which McCain is receiving. Kerry’s criticism was over the legitimacy of the wounds he suffered in combat where as McCain is being criticized, not directly by Clark but through other leftists, for being a POW. I think it would also be ignorant to ignore the fact that despite what certain Dem senators may think, being a POW for 5-years would certainly instill a sense of the consequence of war to someone.
I am not a fanboy of either McCain or Obama, I think they are both full of shit. You on the other hand can see no good in McCain, and clearly no fault in Obama. Good luck with that.
