In a pro-active attempt to clear up untrue statements about Senator Barack Obama, his campaign has launched a website called, “Fightthesmears.com“. I think it’s a brilliant way of spreading the truth, but I also am dismayed by the fact that it’s even necessary.

McCain outdid himself. In a Cheney-esque gaffe, he told Matt Lauer a withdrawal date for the troops was “not too important”.
