Corporate evil-doers, Exxon-Mobile, are giving up their stake in the retail end of the oil industry. There will still be Exxon-Mobile brand stores, but they will not be directly owned by the corporation.

In a ruling of 5-4, the Supreme Court ruled Gitmo detainees have the right to use Federal courts to challenge their imprisonment. The ruling goes against the Bush Administration’s policy (called the Military Commissions Act of 2006) which prevents prisoners access to habeas corpus.
