Ethics Committee Lets Vitter Off The Hook
Hooker soliciting Republican Senator, David Vitter will not be investigated by the Ethics Committee. This comes just days after the DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey, who was connected to Vitter, committed suicide because of her involvement.

The Ethics Committee says they won’t examine Vitter because:
«…Vitter’s conduct preceded his Senate service, did not result in charges against him and did not involve use of his public office or status for improper purposes.»

In short, you can buy hookers if you are a Senator, but not if you are a governor. Elliot Spitzer ran for the wrong political position apparently.
Poor Deborah Jeane Palfrey had her life ruined over this and David Vitter is alive and well. Essentially they are both guilty of participating in illicit but consensual adult activity. Prostitution is a controversial topic, and its also proved to be more complex than our laws can effectively handle.
