DC Madam’s Suicide Note Released

Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the Washington DC madam that took her life last Thursday, left a suicide note behind which the media outlets have released today.

Palfrey was charged with prostitution and money laundering, and her list of clients included several prominent men. Senator David Vitter admitted to being a client of Palfrey’s at least on one occasion. He hasn’t been charged with anything, he’s still a senator, and he’s also still alive.

The trial ended with a guilty verdict in April 15, 2008, and Palfrey’s suicide note states she didn’t want to go to jail and come out as a “burden” to her family. She also feared re-entering the world post her prison sentence “alone” and “penniless”.

Money laundering, ok, very illegal. But why should Palfrey be held accountable for prostitution while David Vitter gets to stay in the Senate? He should resign. Some Commentors on the Wonkette website think her suicide note should be faxed to his office repeatedly. I think that’s a good idea.

  1. Hi, there. I was wondering if you could give me a link to where you read Vitter admitted to being a client of Palfrey. Ya’ see, the only thing I have read that Vitter said was admitting to a “serious sin” but nothing else.

If you could send that link I would really appreciate it. TIA

His admission to “serious sin” is his way of saying he was calling up hookers before he ran for office. That’s political spin.

July 9, 2007 is the date when he admitted he was on the phone records. According to a story you can find HERE, he admitted not only to being in Palfrey’s phone records, but also to employing the services of another prostitution ring before his 2004 Senate run.

Google “Vitter admits” and a slew of stories from that date will pop up. I hope that was helpful, but the closest we’ll get of an admission of wrongdoing from Vitter is his “serious sin” comment.

    Thanks for reading!
