In an effort to clean up his reputation, controversial preacher Reverend Wright has been doing interviews and leaking information. Turns out the Reverend was a Navy Medic in the 1960s. In the picture below he is seen present during a medical procedure performed on President Lyndon B. Johnson.

It’s good to see he’s not all GD America all the time, but does this really change your mind about him?

This just proves people aren’t black or white… no pun intended. Everyone has bad AND good qualities, some just more of one than than the other. Like a doctor needs to consider all symptoms when diagnosing an illness, people should not judge others without knowing all the facts. This goes for people we consider good as well. Mother Teresa wasn’t perfect, should we take back all her good deeds? (I am by no means comparing Rev Wright with Mother Teresa) We can not excuse one act because of another, both good and bad. We must simply say he is a man, he has done some great things and he has made some great mistakes.

After watching the entire press conference, it just shows that Rev Wright is totally into himself and is trying very hard to stretch his 15 minutes of fame. Sadly, he’s causing Obama big problems in the process. Whatever he was or did in the service really has nothing to do with what he is doing and saying now.
