Pentagon Hands Out Tax Dollars To Idiot Contractor

Posted by: BookGirl on: March 28, 2008

This time it’s not Halliburton’s fault.

A 22 year old from Miami, Florida, Efraim E. Diveroli, somehow managed to get a $300 million dollar military contract for his company, AEY, INC.

He was supposed to supply ammunition from Hungary for Afghani military forces helping us in the “war on terror”. What he delivered was rusting munitions made in China back in the 1960s or 1970s.

He’s being investigated now, but only after he passed on the useless cargo to the government.

Remember, the Pentagon is in charge of protecting us. I’ll let that sink in for you.

Holy rusted metal Batman!!

Ammut:
What trips me out about this entire situation is the government wants permission to wiretap Americans to “protect us” but they can’t run a simple surveillance on some one who’s got $200 million of our tax dollars.

IDIOTS.

the picture has nothing to do with the article. The weapons he sold were fine. The reason his contract was suspended was because they came from china.

John:
I know it’s hard to believe the munitions were in such horrible condition, but after 40 years, metal rusts.

The picture I used also appears in the New York Times at this link: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/27/world/asia/27ammo.html?n=Top/News/World/Countries%20and%20Territories/Afghanistan

Until the New York Times prints a retraction for using the picture, I’m not.

The fact the ammunition came from China is PART of the reason the deal was suspended. It was an easy loophole the government used to null the contract swiftly, in my opinion.

To suggest what this amateur delivered was “fine” isn’t accurate or acceptable. He supplied our Afghan allies with munitions that could cost them their lives. That undermines our intended purpose in the real war on terror.

Diveroli got in over his head and our government trusted a novice. That’s the truth.

Thank you for your comment, but understand I work very hard not to mislead my readers.

Who is this guy anyway…?

Is he an american citizen or a ‘greenie’?

What is his background?

John:
Apparently he’s just a regular American citizen who had a propensity for weapons. He figured out how he could bid for American military contracts and did an ok job of fooling our government for a little while.

It’s embarrassing.
