The Clinton Campaign needs Michigan and Florida to win. They didn’t think they would back when she seemed like the likely nominee, so they didn’t try to change the DNC’s decision to not seat their delegates then.
Now, Clinton is claiming “foul” and chastising The Powers That Be for leaving voters out. Unfortunately for her and her surrogates, Michigan’s primary ain’t happening.

The following AP excerpt describes the situation in Michigan’s Senate:
«While there still was a slim possibility a last-minute deal could be reached, lawmakers’ lack of enthusiasm for a second election paid for by private donors meant that was unlikely.»

Clinton even made an appearance in Michigan, casting the blame at others (especially Obama who has not given his support to the primary) for leaving people out. The pundits are saying her visit was a mistake because it made the Senators feel like the reason for holding the primary had more to do with her delegate count than voters’ rights.
DUH!
Why does she care so much? Because Hillary is in a crunch. Obama leads in states won, the popular vote, AND the delegate count. Sure, they both need super delegates to reach the “magic number” but Obama’s case is stronger.
For Hillary to win, the New York Times says she needs three components before the Convention:
(1) Needs to lead in popular vote by end of June
(2) Needs To defeat Obama by a wide margin in Pennsylvania
(3) Needs to find and capitalize on some reason why Obama is unelectable in November

Those are three very desperate and unlikely scenarios. Michigan’s non-re do is definitely going to hurt her chances at having more of the popular vote. I can see her winning a large percentage in Pennsylvania, but that will only prolong the inevitable.
Obama’s already proven he can handle setbacks and he’s good at being consistent, but it seems only some disastrous blunder on his part could secure her nomination. (Think crazy Reverend Wright and Spitzer combined.)
Her chances are slim, but she keeps on truckin’. As long as she keeps it clean, I don’t mind her exercising her ability to “pursue happiness” but in the meantime, she’s gotten really annoying.
