Hillary Clinton, The Puppet Master
Hillary Clinton is finally saying she would support a Michigan re-do, despite the fact she recently said the original primary (where she was the ONLY candidate on the ballot) “was fair and should be counted.”
Before THAT, when Michigan and Florida were blacklisted for not following the “rules”, she said publicly their primaries wouldn’t count for anything then jetted off to talk to the voters there, in violation of the guidelines agreed to by all the candidates. Since Senator Clinton has had trouble securing the nomination as easily as she’d originally expected, she’s been trying to make those delegates count. She’s met resistance from fellow Democrats, namely from the Obama camp and his supporters.
Her new strategy seems more feasible than validating an election she won Fidel Castro Style. I’m glad she’s finally supporting democracy, but I’m angered the expensive primary has less to do with making the people’s vote count and more to do with appeasing a cranky politician.
